Things went completely wrong
Compare your dream to the script
Today was suppose to be sunny
But I'm standing here frost-nipped

Everything I've cared about is gone
Now I'm living on borrowed time
The evening sun has set
Though it's a few minutes past lunchtime

I'd hoped my life would be fine
But I've reached a never-ending counterpoint
Life is supposed to be good not bad
I've just about reached my breaking point

Life is just a big kangaroo court
Life’s justice has run the full course
The laws are a big amalgam
You’re dead even if you show remorse

Tell the jury you forgive them
There's nothing to be sore about
This song has already been sung
Let's just wait for the fallout
Depression poem...
Does it matter?

Wow.... it makes me wonder just why all my favorite poems are like this... Very thoughtful: heart!
